On Friday afternoon, I and my friends went ka Bromo to implement the activities of MPA (Lecture Field Work), a first for us. MPA was attended by students of sociology anthropology force in 2009. Other than that there are some professors who accompanied us, Mr Totok, Mr Bayu, Mrs. Elly, Mrs. Asma and Mrs. Via. This activity will last for four days in the future. There we will conduct observations of the Tengger.
Along the way I am enjoying this trip. We sang together on the bus. There was beautiful scenery, there are mountains all the way to the top of Bromo. At the peak of Mount Bromo, I saw a beautiful sunrise. The weather was very cold at the time, but it does not prevent us all to watch the sunrise there.
After watching the sunrise in Penanjakan, we descended toward the Pure Luhur Poten residing in a sea of sand. There, we watched people who were praying. After that we headed to the inn and breakfast. Then we all prepare to make an observation to the Tengger. We walked together to the place of observation and spread to an interview with the local community.
Evening we had a dialogue with indigenous stakeholders there. From our customary holders may obtain more information about the Tengger. After the dialogue is completed, followed by a presentation of research we did earlier.
The next day we get ready for breakfast and prepared for observation in order to complement our data are lacking. On the way home we stopped at Tanggulangin and at the center by-by to buy a hand fruit. We arrived in Semarang on Monday morning.
